Next club day: 21 Sept – TBC

It was a cold and windy start to the day with the off shore coming from the south. 7 clubbies braved the conditions and headed out at around the 0715hrs time. Blair S, Richard B, Greg (the new guy), Thomas, myself, GT and Dylan.

Fishing was very slow although there was lots of signs underneath us. I scored the biggest snapper at 1.42kg and kahawai, and Thomas caught the best gurnard. The easterly also got up abit later and made it quite choppy. The swell was starting to get up and I think we all got in before that became a problem.

Helen (wife) and Corina (GT’s wife) had hot soup, crusty bread, home made biscuits ready for us when we came in wet & cold so was really appreciated.
